Software Test Engineer

A successful TQA Software Test Engineer I will have the following:

• Strong analytical (ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions), organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and hands on exprienceof an Object Oriented Programming language is required (e.g. Java, Python, etc.)  is required
• Hands on experience administering HPE suite of tools is required
• Knowledge Load /Performance and Security Testing and administering Task top is preferred
• Experience working in Agile methodology and cloud environments is preferred
• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or two years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience

At Dish the Testing and Quality Assurance (TQA) team’s mission is to ensure that the software we deliver meets the business needs and allows for a positive customer experience.  As a member of the TQA Tools Team, the Software Test Engineer I is considered a key contributor in a fast paced IT environment supporting a wide array of applications.  They will ensure that tools sets used by test team are maintained and kept up today.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

• Administer HPE ALM, Performance Center, Service Virtualization and Task top
• Maintain the test teams custom built tool set
• Assist in the creation and execution load/performance tests
• Assist in the creation and execution of security tests
• Prepare reports of testing results to be reviewed by the requester
