SCOPE
Operates the functional areas of the F&B department to which they are assigned.  Serves as the first impression and “face” of the restaurant, bar, or banquet department to all guests.  Will service guests in a professional, timely and accurate manner.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Resolves guest complaints to the satisfaction of the guest; responds promptly to any guest request for service.
  • Arrives at work in a timely fashion in accordance with the posted schedule.
  • Abides by established uniform guidelines.
  • Maintains a “can do” and a “guests first” attitude at all times.
  • Works as a member of the overall hotel team to ensure that each guest has an experience that exceeds their expectations
  • Attends scheduled training sessions within the hotel as dictated by the Hilton brand and the hotel management.
  • Serve food and beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner according to the Hilton’s high standards of quality.
  • Ensures adherence to procedures for hotel accounting, credit control, handling of financial transactions, security of monies, guest security and emergency procedures as established.
  • Knowledge of event menu items and their contents.
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.         
  • Knowledge of preparation and garnishing methods.
  • Setting up, maintaining and breaking down of service area
  • Basic English language communication skills
  • Ability to carry large and heavy trays on a continuous basis throughout a shift.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience preferred
  • Must be flexible to working days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be professional and have a pleasant attitude
