# Description Manager - Middleware Services Applications The Manager of Middleware Services Applications who oversees the technical strategy and day-to-day operations of the middleware infrastructure and software architecture used for designing and implementing communications between mutually interactive software applications in a service-oriented architecture environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Hands on Technical Manager responsible to lead the technical application development and support/maintenance teams responsible for the following middleware applications: Red Hat Enterprise Service Bus and AMQ in a global 7 by 24 environment * Responsible to oversee all new project development and implementation for the Middleware Services team and ensure all deliverables are in accordance with standards, delivered on time and within budget * Responsible to establish and enforce best practice coding techniques, technical standards, along with creation of enterprise technical documentation * Responsible to oversee all Crisis Management incidents for all areas of responsibility with a high level of urgency in order to ensure business continuity * Provides technical guidance and staff development and develops a strong succession plan to ensure adequate resource levels and skills for the short and long term # Qualifications * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field; or equivalent work experience * 5 to 7 years of professional experience with depth of IT experience that includes large enterprise infrastructure and middleware platform services and teams * Experience supporting 24x7 business operations * Exceptional project management, team management and delivery skills * Strong hands on technical experience major middleware technologies (WebSphere, MQ , JBOSS, ESB, AMQ) running on major OS (Windows, Linux/Unix) * Understanding Web services technologies such as: Apache, IIS, JBoss ,Tomcat, .NET, PHP * Understanding of Enterprise Messaging and Queuing technologies: IBM MQ, AMQ * Strong Experience in Java/J2EE, Web Services, .Net Frameworks. * Strong Understanding of API Security and Management and services (SOAP/REST/XML). * Strong Experience with Service Oriented Architecture techniques (SB, XML, XML Schemas, XSLT, XPath, SOAP, REST, JSON, WADL and WSDL) * Understanding of DevOps concepts * Assertive, energetic, and results-driven leader who has the ability to succeed in a results-focused organization * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Deep understanding of what it is to be an internal service provider * Strong understanding of IT security and risk management * Ability to work under pressure, balancing multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining composure and resilience **Job Function:** Information Technology **Primary Location:** USA-NJ-Wayne **Schedule:** Full-time **Organization:** Headquarters **Job Type:** Standard **Education Level:** Bachelor's Degree **Brand:** Toys 'R' US **Req ID:** 70067
