About this job

Position: Analytical Chemist

Responsibilities:

  • Perform API, Finished Product drug substances and excipients Release testing, method development, method evaluation, method validation, method transfers; API Characterizations;excipients testing; and particle size analysis
  • Accurately compile and report data
  • Perform method development, analytical method validations, and method transfers
  • Perform audits of lab notebooks, analytical data, and analytical reports
  • Possess a demonstrated ability to write scientific reports.
  • Has a thorough understanding of USP methods used in the laboratory
  • Review audit work of other analysts
  • Participate in a leadership capacity, in one or more of several laboratory committees (e.g. Safety instrumentation, GMP, SOP etc.)



Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in chemistry or a related science
  • 2+ years experience and a fundamental knowledge of various instruments and wet chemical analytical techniques used in pharmaceutical analysis is preferred
  • Proficient in the basic theory and operating principles of HPLC, UV, FTIR, GLC, and Malvern & Beckman Coulter particle size analyzers
  • Thorough understanding of USP methods used in the laboratory
  • Possess a strong cGMP awareness and understanding
