The Manufacturing Associate I is responsible for executing all manufacturing department processes while strictly adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations that could apply. The Manufacturing Associate I is expected to fully participate in both departmental projects and any quality working teams that may be applicable. This position shall be responsible for the hands on execution of activities as they relate to the manufacturing of products. All of the specific requirements presented in this job description are applicable to the functional area in which it resides.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


1. Operate cleaning/sanitization systems (such as glasswasher and autoclave, etc). Manually clean portable equipment and small parts. 10%
2. Operate process equipment (such as robot, portable mixers, chromatography, etc.) Assemble and operate filtration and chromatography systems 10%
3. Operate production testing equipment (such as pH and conductivity meters, etc.) 5%
4. Monitor and record batch parameters, including computer data entry. Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines. 20%
5. Perform mathematical calculations related to production processes, 5%
6. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment to maintain equipment in GMP fashion. 10%
7. Perform sampling using aseptic techniques 10%
8. Order, receive and distribute supplies into production area as needed 10%
9. Convey information to external stake holders (auditors, global colleagues, etc.). Provide support for groups that support manufacturing (such as external cleaners, etc.), 10%
10. Participate on Continuous Improvement Teams (such as 5S, Gemba, etc.) 10%
