About this job

Our client is looking for a Title Processor with at least 3 years of experience to join their team in Columbia.

The Title Processor is responsible for:

  • Processing loans from the title perspective.
  • Comparing commitments and binders and working in SoftPro on a daily basis.
  • They will be primarily working with MD loans but must also be experienced with VA loans as well.
  • On average they will be closing 30 loans per month and must have past experience keeping up with that volume. It is roughly 900 per year.
  • They also much have experience with SoftPro and must have experience with preparing binders.
  • Builder experience is also highly preferred.


Candidates must be a self starter with a focus on customer service. They are a very conducive team, so candidates must be good with working with others and must enjoy working on a team to work towards a common goal.

Work Environment

  • Smaller offices of about 10 people: 1 pre-processor, 4 processors, 3 post closers, 2 attorneys. They Columbia branch deals mostly with builder loans, most first home buyers, so they are okay with someone more Jr. with about 3 years of experience.

Qualifications

  • SoftPro experience is a must.
  • Someone needs to have at least 3 years in the title industry.
  • Team player and a self-starter.
  • Good communication skills.

Performance Expectations

  • Take initiative, self-starter, team player.
  • Best vs. Average: The best candidate will come from a mid-large sized company and have experience processing at least 30 loans per month.
  • 1st Day: Must be knowledgeable in SoftPro, in preparing binders and be very strong with processing titles.
  • Performance Measurements: They will be evaluated on their ability to work in a team, and their ability to get loans closed per month. If they are not meeting the goals, they will notbe the right person for the job.
  • Disqualifiers: Someone who does not have SoftPro experience and someone who specifically has mortgage processing.
  • They must have TITLE Processing.

Interview Information

  • Interview with the Division Manager, as well as one of their processors. This will be a one step interview.

Additional Compensation

  • Even after going permanent, the candidate will be eligible for OT.
  • Great pay and ability to move up in the company. They look for people that eventually would like to move up.
