Reporting to the Regional VP / Director of Pharmacy Operations, the General Manager (GM) is responsible for leading the Branch toward its primary objectives. This position requires knowledge of Home Infusion and Pharmacy best practices, procedures, and standards in accordance with state and federal regulations; and of personnel principles and practices. This position may provide direct patient care on an as-needed basis. Will partner with leadership and staff at all levels within the branch and the broader enterprise to enhance the internal organizational processes and infrastructure that will allow the company to continue to grow and fulfill its mission. The position is responsible for the branch’s day-to day operating activities including Intake, Nursing, & Pharmacy functions (thru shared matrix reporting relationships, where appropriate) as they relate to quality, efficiency, process, and cost.Primary Responsibilities:
Accountable for driving the branch to achieve and surpass productivity, profitability, cash flow and business goals & objectives
Analyzes and organizes clinical operations for branch managed
Responsible for and overseeing the delivery of care to all patients served by branch
Represents the organization with all referral sources, physicians, and the community on an as-needed basis in conjunction with other internal clinical and Sales resources
Communicates as needed with appropriate Corporate leadership concerning new developments and / or problems within the local branch and / or market
Provides guidance and leadership through direct and indirect management of Intake, Nursing, and Pharmacy as a cohesive process of patient care
Oversees operational functions to ensure smooth daily operations and continuous improvement in patient care
Creates, manages, coordinates and executes all operational strategies and implements tactical plans for the branch that meet and exceed company expectations
Direct short-term and long-range planning and budget development for the branch to support strategic business goals
Oversee reporting and monitoring of branch performance metrics
Participates in the interviewing, hiring, training, and firing of employees
Participates in business development activities to support development of functional, efficient, and patient-oriented programs for the branch
Ability to meet attendance, overtime, on-call, and other reliability requirements of the job

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of pharmacy experience with 3+ years in a managerial level position in home infusion setting
Solid working knowledge of pharmacy, nursing, budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning in healthcare
Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies
A track record of performance excellence meeting targets and objectives
Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting / financial skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Possess a strong patient service orientation
Respectful and outstanding leadership skills that motivates staff to exceed expectations
The ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team and focuses their energy on achieving business goals
The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes
Proven ability to lead a proactive clinical & sales organization and ensure accountability for results that maximize contribution to business objectives
