Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE

Creates innovative prints, yarn dyes, sweater pattern, embellishments and/or placed graphics relevant to brand DNA and trends PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Creates Innovative and Amazing Artwork
  • Works with Design to develop concept board art needs for milestone meetings
  • Applies seasonal successes of color, print and pattern to future art
  • Meets mulitple calendar and art productivity deadlines to ensure production art hand-off deadlines are met, without sacrificing attention to detail
  • Researches current artwork trends, in partnership with Textile Design Manager, to influence conceptual direction for multiple categories/brands
  • Owns creating and inspires new ideas/concepts
  • Studies competition and benchmarks relative to brand position, and keeps design informed of what’s new and directional
  • Exhibits influence and expertise, supporting the productivity of the team
  • Uses strong organizational, time management and presentation skills
Builds Alignment Through Strong Business Partner Relationships
  • Ensures consistency and differentiation of brand(s) across division, consistent with market trends, brand position and business strategy
  • Influences decision making at the buyer level, through use of strong organizational, time management and presentation skills
  • Interacts and develops relationships with the cross functional teams to establish priorities, leverage expertise and streamline the process
  • Demonstrates the ability to merchandise color and print and present seasonal art direction to cross-functional partners
  • Understands vendor capability for print technique and fabric base limitations
  • Mentors Assistants and Associates


QUALIFICATIONS required
  • Strong artistic background including the ability to create conceptual and final art in several different mediums
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Ned Graphics, Kaledo or related program
preferred
  • College degree in Graphic Design, Textile Design, Illustration, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of Print Design experience, preferably within the retail industry
