About this job

DISH is a Fortune 250 company with more than $14 billion in annual revenue that continues to redefine the communications industry. Our legacy is innovation and a willingness to challenge the status quo, including reinventing ourselves. We disrupted the pay-TV industry in the mid-90s with the launch of the DISH satellite TV service, taking on some of the largest U.S. corporations in the process, and grew to be the third-largest pay-TV provider. We are doing it again with the launch of the first live, internet-delivered TV Service – SlingTV, that bucks traditional pay-TV norms and gives consumers a truly new way to access and watch television.

Now we have our sights set on upending the wireless industry and unseating the entrenched incumbent carriers.

We have a bold sense of pride, adventure, and desire to win – it’s in our DNA. And we’re looking for people with boundless energy, intelligence, and an overwhelming need to achieve to join our team as we embark on the next chapter of our story.

Opportunity is here. We are DISH.

To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or eight years of related experience and/or training; and 4+ years of full life-cycle executive recruitment required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at the executive level, as well as with potential future leaders.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills to navigate concerns and competing priorities.
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize projects with superior attention to detail while effectively adapting to changing priorities.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism are paramount.
  • Requires a high level of computer expertise, including the use of MS Office and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Must be flexible and innovative in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment

This may be the most exciting time to be a part of DISH and the Corporate Talent Acquisition team is currently in the midst of it all.  We are seeking a passionate Executive Recruiter, who, like the rest of our dynamic team, does whatever it takes to deliver high quality executive-level candidates.  In this process you will continue to advance the DISH brand across numerous markets and professional communities.  Our senior leadership team views recruiting as an integral part of their own team, and you will find yourself immersed in each business on a daily basis.  We view ourselves as talent brokers, and have an enormous amount of pride in each and every placement we make.  We are a diverse and fun bunch who enjoy working (and playing) together.

We invite you to come and see who we are and what we’re all about!

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our senior business leaders.  You will work together to scope job positions, and determine what a successful candidate will look like for their team. Knowing your business and being prepared will set the stage for a great working relationship, and the ability to bring in the best talent.
  • Bring your A-game daily as you mine and source high potential candidates.  The thrill of the “hunt” excites you, whether it’s experimenting with creative search parameters or finding new places to source talent. Be proactive in identifying executive level candidates by utilizing multiple strategies (cold calling, online databases, social media, Boolean search, complex internet search, etc.)
  • Think long term, and continually grow the pipeline of qualified candidates. A candidate you sourced doesn’t match your open requisition but they’d be a great fit for DISH? Share them with other team members or continue to stay in touch regarding future opportunities with our growing and expanding business.
  • Network to develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, community organizations, and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility.
  • Engage in the full life-cycle of recruiting (including the scheduling and logistics), ensuring both your candidate and your hiring team are satisfied customers.
