Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services/ Custodial Operations Manager for Commerce, MI. This is an acute care, union facility and is part of Tenet Health Systems.  This is for afternoon shift (1:00pm start) managing a team of 25 including a frontline supervisor.  This role will report directly to the General Manager.  Looking for an individual with healthcare management experience in the support service arena with a passion for environmental services.   Looking for high energy and self-motivated individual that can thrive in a challenging, yet rewarding environment. This is a community hospital of 150 licensed beds and over 400k cleanable square feet. Must be results oriented that can drive patient satisfaction, client/customer satisfaction, and Sodexo programs. Ideal candidate will have management experience in the hospitality industry and union environment but is not a requirement.  

 

Ideal candidate will have prior housekeeping experience and have functional knowledge of Sodexo UOS, TRAKKAR and Sodexo Quality Improvement processes. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of 20-25 while maintaining a strong client relationship with the hospital. The ability to work weekends, and holidays will be required. Preferred candidates will be have excellent customer service skills and previous housekeeping experience. This manager will place a large focus on the patient experience, customer service, and positively affecting patient satisfaction scores.

Position Summary

Number two position at the account with responsibility for all operations. Assumes GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Supervises managers. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

 

Qualifications & Requirements
