1 or 2 people for Sunday through Thursday 2pm to 10pm shift, for summer cleaning apartments.



Main Campus

The position performs manual work in the custodial care of all buildings and facilities.

Duties:

Sweep, Mop and scrub floors, stairs, and other surfaces inside and outside of the buildings
Scrub, strip, wax and polish floors using heavy industrial type floor machines
Vacuum rugs in the offices, classrooms, halls, and public areas. Shampoo rugs periodically using heavy extraction machines, and other rug shampooing machines
Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, door trim and chalk boards
Clean, disinfect and service lavatories, rest rooms, showers, and locker rooms
Wash windowsill, interior and exterior windows, glass in corridor doors, and wash glass and trim in entrance doors and vestibule
Wash and Clean interior wall spaces by hand or with powered wall washing machine, remove, wash, replace, and adjust Venetian blinds and curtains, vacuum and wash ceiling lights and HVAC fixtures, working on ladders or scaffolds as required
Moves furniture and completes set ups and tear downs for functions and outside rental groups
Collect and place in containers or plastic bags trash and debris, place trash in collection area for removal
Replace liners in wastebaskets and trash containers
Adjust, clean and oil cleaning and scrubbing machines and change brushes and pads, rollers, belts, bags, and other attachments
Move and assemble heavy furniture, supplies and miscue equipment
Report items that need repaired to the supervisor--doors, lights, fixtures, etc
Make an initial attempt to unclog toilets, sinks, bathtubs, and showers
Replace batteries in the smoke detectors when required
Put drain conditioner in all sinks, toilets, shower, and floor drains on a routine schedule
Use hand tools to remove snow and ice from walkways, stairs and ramps
receives and unloads truck deliveries as needed
Performs other work as required. Above are just examples


REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a high school diploma or GED
2 years experience in applied trade
Must be able to work any shift
