Security Officer - Full-time / Part-time

JOB SUMMARY:

* Secure gates, checking, logging and clearing authorized personnel and vehicles presenting proper identification or passes attempting to gain access to the park.
* Maintain confidentiality and integrity of information disclosed, accidentally discovered or communicated as an officer with or without specific instructions to do so of guests, vendors, lessees and all other customers.
* Respond to security related incidents occurring on park property.
* Write clear and concise incident and other reports.
* Enforce local, state and federal laws occurring on property.
* Safeguard company assets, property, equipment and facilities against illegal and destructive acts.
* Must swipe in and out each day to receive correct pay for the week.
* Maintain proper attendance and timeliness.
* Set high standards of performance for all areas within their responsibilities.
* Respond to any emergency situation in the area and maintain control until an area supervisor arrives.
* Ensure that image, cleanliness and courtesy standards requirements are met.
* Refrain from consuming any substance that may impair judgment.
* Cooperate with all team members and managers.
* Complete any and all tasks as requested by Six Flags Management.
* Comply with Six Flags handbook policies at all times

QUALITIES OF A SUCCESSFUL SECURITY OFFICER:
* Must be high school graduate or possess GED.
* Must pass Human Resources & Security pre-screen Interview.
* Must pass Background Pre-Screen interview with Loss Prevention.
* Must pass Drug Test.
* Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Organized with the ability to multi-task
* Safety conscious, mature, reliable and dependable
* Outgoing and friendly demeanor
* Committed to providing a safe environment for our guests

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
* Available to work flexible hours at nights and on weekends
