PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE:

  • To make our Guests feel welcomed, valued and confident while utilizing our Zip Tour
  • To respect and protect the welfare of your fellow Guides
  • To help protect the company and it’s assets
  • To ensure that you and your Zip stations are visually compliant
  • To ensure the efficiency of the Zip Tour

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Outdoors in various weather conditions, that can be very inclement.
  • Average summer temperatures low 41 and high 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Heights over 200’

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:      

  • Guiding Experience Preferred
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of guest service
  • Take PRIDE in a job well done
  • Contributing Team Player

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift/push twenty pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Repeatedly lift 8-15 pounds overhead
  • Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, push, pull, lift overhead, grasp, feel, hear, see, repetitive motions, carry
  • Drive road vehicles (if trained to do so)

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follows and adheres to all company and departmental service standards.
  • Maintains a safe work area, i.e. tools stored, deck clear of debris etc…
  • Abides by operating procedures, i.e. opening/closing procedures, inspections of equipment, communicating with guests etc..
  • Pleasantly greets, makes eye contact, listens to and responds appropriately to every guest’s needs and or questions, in person
  • Adapts to changing business levels.
  • Follows and performs all departmental policies and procedures, i.e. punctuality, attendance, dress and grooming standards, etc…
  • Work is performed in an efficient, accurate and organized manner.
  • Displays respect for fellow Guides at all times.
  • Monitor the operations of the Zip Tour and its components continually, and notify appropriate personnel of any problems or unusual conditions.
  • Completes all required paperwork legibly and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping pertaining to all operational log sheets
  • Returns from breaks on time and when expected.
  • Check tickets if necessary; ensure that riders have valid ticket; refuse entry to snow riders without valid ticket, and refer to appropriate personnel for assistance.
  • Willingly performs other tasks as assigned.

UNIFORM

  • Park City issued Jacket
  • Park City issued baseball hat
  • Park City issued hard hat
  • Park City issued short sleeve shirts (black, white or exact matching long sleeve may be worn under the short sleeve shirt)
  • Must use own neutral colored shorts and appropriate footwear (Hiking shoes/boots preferable)
  • Name tag on every layer
  • No facial piercings or gauges, Men may not wear earrings.
  • Ladies may wear on pair of conservative earrings.
  • Beards must be established prior to the start of work or you must be clean shaven. All beards must be neatly trimmed and only ½ “ in length.  Some beards that may not fill in completely may not be allowed.
  • Men’s hair must be above the collar or fit inside of a Canyons issued uniform hat without looking unkempt.
  • Women with long hair are required to keep it pulled back while working at lifts for their own safety.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

Direction is received from the Lifts Operations Manager, Zip Supervisor and senior staff members.
