Adminstrative Assistant

A leading dietary supplement manufacturing company, growing and scaling up production in their Santa Fe Springs facility, is looking for a Lab Technician.

Essential Functions: 1. Maintain current records of finished products and raw materials analysis. 2. Assist in investigation of production problems. 3. Monitor sanitation and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in production areas. 4. Monitor HACCP compliance. 5. Conduct on line checks needed: a) Metal detector b) Net weights c) Temperatures d) Codes e) Expiration Dates 6. Notify Production Supervisor of line deviations. 7. Conduct lab test as: a) pH b) Refractive index c) Peroxide value d) Moisture content e) Viscosity f) Melting point 8. Prepare solutions for chemical tests. 9. Place products on hold as necessary. 10. Swab equipment and perform environmental microbial tests. 11. Record temperatures of processing, bottling, warehouse and refrigeration unit. 12. Check and calibrate all scales periodically 13. Perform housekeeping audit as required by schedule. 14. Check routinely High Purity Water System. 15. Other duties as assigned. 16. Raw material sampling. 17. QC pallet checks. 18. Good documenting practices.
