Position Overview

                The Shell removers use different types of methods and equipments to remove the shell material from newly casted parts.

 

 

Essential Job Functions

 

  • Removes shelling and cores from cast cases and individual pieces with the aid  of various equipment within the department.
  • Loads and unloads castings in K.O.H. soak area and water hones when castings are ready to be moved to next operation.
  • Sand blasts castings in preparation for chemical etch.
  • Maintains casting and lot integrity through operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must meet Export Control Regulations (ITAR)
  • High School Diploma

Physical Demands

  • Requires frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds
  • Manufacturing environment with frequent standing
