The Senior Financial Analyst (SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting) position will be responsible for the following:

SEC Reporting

  • Support Financial Reporting Department in the preparation of SEC filings on Forms 10-Q and 10-K
  • Assist with data analysis, review and follow up with respect to key subsidiary financial information

Technical Accounting

  • Assist with researching and documenting technical accounting policies for upload to central site
  • Assist with documentation of new revenue recognition and leasing guidance
  • Implement and maintain Merrill Lynch stock compensation expense system (ACFR)
  • During ACFR implementation, prepare monthly reconciliation and expense entries and quarterly expense testing on data produced by ArmTech
  • Perform monthly probability analysis of performance awards for stock-based compensation expense
  • Perform monthly assessment of performance awards for EPS dilution
  • Calculate monthly journal entries for stock-based compensation expense and perform related account reconciliations
  • Prepare share-based payments checklist on at least an annual basis
  • Assist in calculation of basic weighted average shares for quarterly EPS reporting
  • Determine weighted average dilutive shares for quarterly EPS reporting
  • Perform monthly roll forward of outstanding equity awards and reconciliation to Merrill Lynch system
  • Maintain appropriate SOX documentation of stock-based compensation and EPS processes and controls

Other

  • Assist director with preparing and documenting support for quarterly disclosure committee and audit committee meetings
  • Assist the Financial Reporting Department with other duties and cross-training as necessary
  • Undertake and manage certain special technical accounting projects and other reporting needs as necessary

Education & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA required

· 3 to 5 years of public accounting experience, preferably recent Big 4 experience

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently
