Beauty Experts are the driving sales force for the Health, Beauty, and Wellness Department through their
exceptional customer service and skin care and beauty expertise. Beauty Experts serve to re-invent the beauty shopping
experience and differentiate our beauty product offering and service level from specialty stores and traditional mass
retailers.

Requirements

  • Responsible for meeting/exceeding weekly sales goals provided by HBW Team Leader (or Store Leader if no HBW Team Leader is present) and tracking sales daily to ensure goals are being met/exceeded through continuous selling efforts to customers.
  • Educate, demonstrate, and advise customers on the ingredients and qualities of products across a range of mainstream, premium, and natural & organic beauty lines as well as provide information and advice on the best beauty and related products to suit the customer's individual needs and perferences.
  • Help customers identify their skin type and any problematic skin conditions in order to provide solutions for the customer through an appropriate skin care regiment and product choices to produce desired effects.
  • Partner with the HBW Team Leader, Dietitian, Pharmacy Team Members, and other store departments to plan, coordinate, and conduct in-store events, classes, and demos, in conjunction with corporate instructed in-store events to provide comprehensive solutions to customers' needs while showcasing beauty products to customers as well as to educating and informing customers of the Beauty Expert services available at Giant Eagle.
  • Develop relationships with customers to create a client base as well as calling/e-mailing customers to inform them of new products and promotions that may be of interest to them. Seek customer feedback on improvements that can be made to the Health, Beauty, and Wellness Department as well as product requests and provide this information back to the Corporate Staff.
  • Maintaining specialty fixtures by maintaining a "boutique look and feel" as well as making sure they are organized and clean and department maintenance as directed from the Store Leader.
  • Stay current on beauty and skin care knowledge and trends by attending the Day Long Beauty Training Sessions and other vendor sponsored trainings scheduled through the Beauty Coordinator, reading beauty trade magazines, and internet research.
  • Represent Giant Eagle at off-site beauty events and professional schools.
