Assistant Manager - Full-time / Part-time

Position Summary: 

Quik Shoppe Food Stores is currently seeking Assistant Manager Candidates. Prior assistant management experience is required. Our ideal candidates will have previous assistant management experience in either the food service industry or in retail sales. A Quik Shoppe assistant manager works with the general manager to oversee the entire store’s operations including meeting or exceeding performance goals, managing the payroll budget of both the C-store & the food service operation , managing retail and food service inventory, minimizing food waste. Candidates must have the ability to provide coaching to the team members. Our managers and assistant managers are expected to be highly motivated individuals, lead by example, and provide and teach exceptional customer service. The standard work week for a Quik Shoppe assistant manager is in the 48 hour range. The assistant manager will mostly work opposite shifts and days of the general manager. The position requires the assistant at times to be on call.

Spivey Enterprises is a family owned business that operates a chain of 7 convenience stores (Quik Shoppe) with each store having an extensive food service establishment within. 5 of our locations are in Charlotte and 2 are in the Lincolnton area. All locations are branded with Shell Fuel.

Because of our food service program, We at Spivey Enterprises have long viewed our unique situation different than most others in the C-Store industry: We consider ourselves “a food store that sells gas” rather than “a gas station that happens to sell food”. Aside from our food service program, our stores offer basically the same items that other traditional C-Stores offer (Fuel, soft drinks, chips, beer, cigarettes, tobacco, lottery, HBA, and other standard categories).
