Swim Instructor - Part-time

Since we started in Montgomery County in 2008, British Swim Schools has rapidly grown to the premier water survival school and learn-to-swim classes. We have locations in Germantown, Gaithersburg, Rockville, Bethesda, Silver Spring and Wheaton. Our mission is "To ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to become a safe and happy swimmer".

We offer part-time positions with flexible work schedules and hours. While this is not a seasonal position, we encourage and welcome students to apply! We understand school comes first and are more than willing to work around school schedules.

We are currently hiring for the following positions:

- Site Ambassadors (Customer Service)

1. To be the "smiling face" that people see when they enter our building and to ensure that the customer experience at BSS is nothing other that extraordinary.
2. To check students in for swim class and to ensure that children are assigned to the correct instructor.
3. To answer all customer questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
4. To open and close their assigned location at the beginning and end of every shift.
5. To assist the instructor from the pool deck when they request assistance.

- Swimming Instructors

1. To conduct group, private, and semi-private swim lessons for all ages and ability levels.
2. Welcome and engages with all parents and children to develop and maintain positive relationships with both.
3. Follow the correct teaching methods as detailed in the BSS teacher training manual and as directed by the CEO or Aquatic Directors.
4. Ensuring classes run smoothly, children are wearing the correct color swim cap and that you maintain a high level of awareness to ensure your students' safety during lesson time.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with children is preferred
