Summary

The Product Development Manager is responsible for focusing on the growth and development of the client’s road show program. This position sources new items to demonstrate/sample in Club and partners closely with not only the vendor community, but also the internal client’s buyers to negotiate the most effective, creative and cost efficient demonstration opportunities.

Job Duty
Partner with Buyers and Road Show Vendor(s) to identify and develop products to be sold through Road Show Program to meet annual sales plan and deliver exciting shopping experience to Members. Partner with client and suppliers for the costing and inventory process.


Research trends and regional opportunities

Analytics to evaluate program success
• This individual will not be doing the analytics (this will be done for them) but they will own the conversation with the client to discuss performance.

Review and approve scheduling and placement of product
• Manage vendor scheduling portal
• Manage internal JET system scheduling portal

Club visits, Comp shops and tradeshows

Manage the MSA, SOW and billing process
• Secure signed MSA and SOW from vendor
• Ensure 80% prepayment invoiced and received prior to execution
• Manage post execution final billing received
• Work with AR as necessary

Gather and create necessary training content, instructions and assets
• Event Manual
• Job aids and additional training as needed
• Work with vendor to identify additional needs for marketing collateral

Direct Reports
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports

Indirect Reports
- May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements
- Travel is an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is not an essential duty or function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience


Field of Study/Area of Experience: Business, Marketing or related field of study
5+ years of experience in Marketing, preferably specializing in Product Development

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Field / Administrative Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office, field, retail store, or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration, and may be required to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections). Also required to travel and drive. The use of proper safety practices when handling the products and/or cooking is essential.
