Production Helper - Full-time / Part-time

Several of our clients in the Portland Metro Area are looking for qualified Shop/Production Helpers for the following duties:

• clean up shop, belt sander, grinders, assist fitters, operate overhead cranes, material stacking, material handling
• pangborne/rotoblast machine, camber fixture or radial drill, bevel detail plates for weld prep, sandblasting, painting
• Duplicating punch, machine operation, radial drills, wheelabrator, using tapes and squares. Keeping records, knowledge of metals and type of materials needed for fabrication. Tack welding and operating simple fixtures, rigging overhead cranes.

Requirements:
Able to work safely in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Able to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust and noise.
Flexibility and willingness to learn and accept changes in job duties.
Ability to attain qualification in multiple positions.
Able to work independently or in team environment.
Careful reading and attention to detail, close observation and concentration skills.
Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination and/or mechanical aptitude.
Good planning and organizational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Good math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and accurate number identification.
6-12 months experience in an industrial environment is preferred.
