Mechanical Assembler - Full-time / Part-time

Job Description:

• Assembles and sells tools used for the railroad industry
• Looking for one mechanical assembler
• Will be responsible for assembling hydraulic products. Grinders, Saws, Sheers, Power units (this is used to power the equipment).
• Will gather materials from BOM (bill of materials) read from blueprint to assemble equipment
• They will assemble smaller pieces of the units/tooling to later assemble for one final large unit/tooling.
• This is an two person assembly line type process. One person completes one step of the process while the other works on another piece.
• Will assemble custom units but should expect to do repetitive assembly also.
• Will also be responsible for quality checks.
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Heavy lifting up to 75lbs. Two people will lift together.

Work Environment:

• Monday - Friday: 8am-430pm
• 40 hours/week plus OT expected as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of blueprint reading and mechanical assembly
• Will assemble custom hydraulic products for railroad industry
• Must be able to read off blueprint/schematic

• Tell me about your mechanical assembly background? When, where, how.

Performance Expectations:

• Will need to meet quotas set by manager.
• Smaller units typically take 1-2hrs other larger units can take up to 5hrs.
• Will need to keep data entry book up to date explaining what they did each day.
