Job Description
Reports to: Store Manager
Status: Hourly range based on experience.
POSITION SUMMARY: Fresh produce is among the most sought after products by our customers and is considered a key department in our stores. The Produce Manager is responsible for managing department inventory, in-stock position, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to company standards to maximize sales and gross profit. This position ensures all new department associates receive proper training and supervision and will ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP OF PRODUCE
● Effectively and efficiently manage all aspects of produce operations based on goals, objectives and standards established by Store Manager.
● Supervision of produce team members
● Ensure compliance of all store personnel with established policies and procedures.
● Follow Manager Code of Conduct and Servant Leadership principles to promote team building and motivate staff.
● Treat team members with consistency and fairness
● Ensure that communications are clear, direct, and respectful.
● Ensure professional and friendly service from all produce team members.
● Ensure inventory is timely and accurate.
