Grocery Stocker (day)

Overnight, magic happens and all the grocery shelves are filled and perfectly straight by 7:00 in the morning. Everything that was on the truck last night is represented on shelves by morning. A day stocker's job is to keep the grocery and dairy departments “standing tall” throughout the day, especially at “crunch time” when customers are going home and stopping by the store for those staple items and for the ingredients for tonight's family supper. Freshness is a big deal to customers, even in the grocery department, so a day stocker is always on the lookout for items that might have expired freshness dates (yes, even the grocery department has dates!). Grocery stockers are the most accessible employee to a customer who cannot find the product they're looking for, so it's important for stockers to know the store well and be extremely friendly and approachable….in fact, we want grocery stockers to initiate conversation with our customers and ask how we can help them.
