eCommerce Merchandise Coordinator

Purpose

The eCommerce Merchandising Coordinator focuses on the upload and maintenance of product information on flooranddecor.com. Responsibilities will include categorization, creating cross sells, writing product copy and other merchandising tasks.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, eCommerce, Marketing, Communication or related field required
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Merchandising or Ecommerce
• Strong project management and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and graphic communication skills
• Attention to detail, creativity, and knowledge of information technology
• eCommerce Merchandising and/or Marketing experience is a plus
• Microsoft Office & familiarity with Google Analytics
• Ability to grow and evolve as the fast past eCommerce industry continues to progress
• Ability to learn quickly; positive attitude; excellent time management; attention to detail.
• Experienced in project planning and project management.
• Excellent written communication skills (i.e. grammar, formatting)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as cross functionally with a team to execute tasks and projects and achieve desired results
• Must be organized, detail-oriented and possess strong problem solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field
• Must pass pre-employment background check.

Job Requirements

Essential Functions

• Assist with online product creation and online merchandising efforts such as product categorization, cross sells, filter application, etc.
• Recommends web merchandising rules based on sales trends and consumer behavior analytics to create a compelling product experience and optimize product presentation on the website
• Assist with product photography process and partners with Creative team to ensure on time execution
• Works closely with the buying team to understand key merchandising strategies, opportunities and recommendations for improvement
• Owns maintaining line sheets so that team is aware of upcoming products
• Review sales and inventory reports to maximize selling through visual exposure on website
• Partner with creative team to ensure that shop-able content is correctly linked and replacements are made for sold-out product.
• Executes all merchandising strategies
• Maintain competitor "look book" - capture weekly snapshots or promotions, homepages, and emails

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
