Job Responsibilities
As a Store Retail Food Manager, you will provide work direction to the bakery and the Subway deli team members at your store. You will ensure food preparation and sales areas operate within all food safety, franchise and company standards. You will supervise the retail food areas in the assigned store, training, scheduling and providing work direction to bakery and Subway deli staff. You will ensure supplies are available each day based on operating records and procedures. You will ensure retail food areas are maintained appropriately and serve-safe standards are maintained. You will ensure all areas are prepared for planned or unplanned inspections and maintain a good working relationship with internal and external inspectors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required. Candidates with progress toward a relevant bachelor degree combined with progressively responsible food service management experience preferred.
- Superior interpersonal skills are required in order to provide courteous customer service and provide effective training and work direction to food service staff.
- Good analytical skills are necessary in order to maintain inventory in a wide variety of ingredients and products and to use sales and customer data to improve sales and margins.
- Good math skills are necessary to calculate inventory usage, weights, costs and volume.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the assigned shift in order to move, stack, store and handle inventory. Must be able to stand, stoop and bend for extended periods throughout the assigned shift.
