RN /Nursing Supervisor- PRN position available.
Core competencies for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Manages the physical environment of the patient care unit.
Monitors and directs utilization of resources related to care of the patient.
Consistently demonstrates effective communication and professionalism.
Applies appropriate working knowledge of patient information system.
Possess basic nursing skills.
Demonstrates proficiency in isolation techniques.
Maintains appropriate numbers and skill mix of nursing staff to meet nursing care needs based on census, acuity of patient and budgeted man hours.
Assures quality patient care is provided in accordance with nursing standards and is reflected in accurate documentation.
Responds to requests for necessary supplies, pharmaceuticals and equipment following established procedures for the preparation, dispensing, control and documentation of pharmaceuticals.
Responds to emergency situations.
High Risk / Low Volume Responsibilities. Demonstrates the ability to perform the following procedures: patient restraints, recognition of abuse and reporting, advance directives, emergency codes and patient death / organ tissue donation.
Equipment competencies
Applicant must possess Tennessee RN Licensure.
Recent RN Acute Care experience required.
Management / Supervision experience required.
