Position Summary:

Assist Senior Media Planner in the development and execution of strategic and fully integrated media plans for specific Business Unit(s)/Division(s). Workcollaboratively within a multi-disciplinary department to use internal and external research to strategically develop media plans. Ensure media plans arestrategic and built to effectively reflect current media consumption habits in the Business Unit(s)/Division(s) for which media plans are required. Partnerwith Media Buying Teams for market input and to identify media opportunities that are effective and make best use of media budgets. Essential Job Functions:
  • Work with the Senior Media Planner to develop strategic and fully integrated annual media plans for specific Business Unit(s) and Division(s) andimplement across relevant media channels including the following: broadcast television (including cable), radio, outdoor, digital, print, direct mail,magazines & in-store
  • Manage annual media plans for assigned Business Unit(s)/Division(s) ensuring all activities are executed on time and on budget.
  • Partner with Business Stakeholder to drive business growth (sales, volume, profits) by applying knowledge of competitive set, consumer trends andbusiness needs, both short and long term.
  • Ensure business and brand strategy is translated into effective media planning tactics.
  • Leverage best-in-class media principles, using internal and external research and customer insights to effectively communicate Customer Communicationsand Marketing initiatives.
  • Seek out and identify consumer, market, industry and global trends for new media tactics to connect with Customers.
  • Monitor media campaigns with the Senior Media Planner and when needed, have campaign performance meetings internally and/or with client.
  • Work with the Senior Media Planner to develop and present recommendations, evaluations, POVs and media analyses to relevant stakeholders(s).
  • Work with Digital Media Team to integrate interactive objectives and strategies into overall plans.
  • Establish effective processes to collaborate with the Media Buying Teams for the following - gathering buying insight and specifications in theirrespective markets, campaign monitoring and reviewing media buys and post-buy analyses.
  • Communicate regularly to Senior Media Planner, ensuring strategy and projects are on track, gaining support and guidance.
  • Maintain media reporting needs for assigned Business Unit(s)/Division(s).
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years experience in Media Planning and Buying.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and developing others.
  • Strong interest in research and data analysis.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to travel independently.
Desired Previous Job Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing or Advertising
  • 3-5 years in Media Planning and Buying, including Digital
  • Experience using industry media planning tools: TNS, DDS/Strata/DataTech, MRI, Simmons, Nielsen, SRDS, etc.
  • Media Planner, Media Planning Coordinator
