The Competition Services Supervisor works with the Breckenridge Competition Services team and is responsible for daily supervision and operation of competition venues and special events; either front of house (course setting, timing set-up oversight, staff oversight) or back of the house (loading, coordinating events, release, administrative). Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating staff for EpicMix Racing, USSA Racing, special events, and other daily Competition Services operations. Promote new  products and initiatives as they are developed. Additional job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  

• Schedule, train, supervise and evaluate staff
• Supervise set up and tear down of EpicMix Racing daily, other races, and events
• Ensure the safety and functionality of EpicMix Race and other race venues
• Supervise the daily operation of EpicMix Racing and other race venues
• Oversee RPOS sales and EpicMix Racing products, trouble shoot systems, close and generate daily reports.
• Oversee the collection of EpicMix Racing and other racing receipts and generate daily reports.
• Oversee the installation of trail fencing, safety features, and signage at EpicMix Racing and other race venues.
• Participate in event planning with Breckenridge Marketing, Group Sales, and Corporate Sales Departments.
• Participate in the budgeting process for EpicMix Racing.
• Work with our local race clubs and organizations maintain strong relationship and meet the daily race needs as they pertain to training or race events
• Work as a contact person for Breckenridge Ski and Ride School as it pertains to EpicMix Racing and other Ski and Ride School race events.

 

Job Requirements:

• At least 3+ years Race crew experience
• Prior experience working with USSA, USASA, FIS events
• 3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience
• 3+ years of mountain operations experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Advanced Skier/Rider
• USSA member - prefer chief of course and timing certifications.
• Advanced knowledge of race timing hardware and software
• Must be fluent in the English language, both written and verbal.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office
• Will be required to work extended hours outside in alpine mountain environment with variable weather conditions including snow, wind, cold and sun.
• Will be required to work weekends and holidays.

Preferred Skills:

• College Degree
• Advanced Equipment Operator
