About this job

  • Oversee and perform a variety of duties to maintain, repair and install company electrical equipment.
  • Repair, install, replace and test electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
  • Inspect and test electrical lighting, signal, communication and power circuits.
  • Isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment using testing instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, testing lamp or growler.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain any type of electrical equipment systems, instruments, communication and control systems or components.
  • Lubricate and change filters on equipment as scheduled or required.
  • Make related mechanical repair necessary to effect electrical, electronic and/or air conditioning repairs.
  • Install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments or replacement.
  • Oversee or perform complex or difficult maintenance repairs or installations.
  • Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes and armatures.
  • Mount control boxes and cabinets and run conduit using good workmanship and generally accepted 
  • electrical practices.
  • Lay out, size conductors, pull wire, terminate, phase and energize power supply to machines or systems. 
  • Troubleshoot industrial electrical circuitry of moderate complexity.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Facility Maintenance and repair, including machining and electrical. Knowledge of hydraulic systems. 
  • Machines required to use (specify machines): PC, hand and power tools 
  • Special Qualifications: Seven years experience in manufacturing environment 
  • Degree/Education: HS Diploma. Electrician Trade Certificate
