Technical Digital Product Content Analyst

Valvoline is seeking a Technical Digital Specialist to join our team.  

The Technical Digital Product Content Analyst is responsible for ensuring all technical product content is populated timely and accurately, enabling all technical product content is displayed and searchable on Valvolinc.com. This role is highly engaged with our other digital team community to ensure content standards and deadlines are met.  Works with other Catalog Content Analysts and staff to load electronic product information forming the content of the Company Electronic Catalog Database in support of the Company vision, mission, and strategic plan.  Performs quality assurance functions, including analytics on the data, ensuring the most complete and accurate product information catalog in the industry.  May assist with other Marketing Services-related projects or company projects as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

·         Supports the company product catalog by gathering and compiling product text, and other supporting materials for new and existing products in SAP, SAP hybris and VLIMS.  Loads supporting materials into the product database on an ongoing basis, in support of publication deadlines and daily online data feeds

·         Coordinates with internal marketing resources to ensure all product data is received in a timely manner and maintains the integrity of marketing product data stored in the catalog database.

·         Ensures the accuracy of the company database, conducting regular reviews to verify the validity of the information and works to correct any issues. (SAP hybris and VLIMS and SAP)

·          Provided the appropriate oral and/or written communication to external and internal customers. Effectively manages email support for PCM.

·         Communicate system and content issues to all impacted parties and escalate as needed

·         Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual workload and keep up pace with digital growth

·         Participate in digital meetings to ensure the team priorities align

·         Act as a change agent to ensure the technical team adopts new initiatives.

·         Work closely with product formulators, Quality Control Supervisors, Project managers, Product Application mapping team, and Information Technology to troubleshoot and resolve data errors and inconsistencies

·         Serve as a backup for updating SAP formulations and other formulary data as provided by product formulators

·         Serve as a backup for lab sample SAP rules and process including EH&S classification and approvals and shipping documentation

·         Assume the role of API Engine Oil CS Administrator  and  will conduct audits for licensing renewal

·         Assign data governance to ensure rules and standards around attributes are being adhered to by the team.

The position is based in Lexington, KY.

Qualifications include the following:

•       Bachelor degree required

•       Must be authorized to work in the United States

•       Demonstrated ability to collaborate across a multifunctional organization and lead by influence

•       Experience working with web project management tools (ie  Workfront)

•       Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

•       Manage digital content on medium and large scale project

•       Fluency in SQL/Oracle and other database programming languages are a plus

•       Strong Teamwork skills

•       Self-starter
