Packaging Material Handler $14/hr (Includes $1/hr Night Shift Premium)

Forklift Operator positions are available on Day & Night shifts with work scheduled 6:00 - 6:00 rotating days with every other weekend off. Night Shift premium of $1.00 / hour in addition to the hourly rate of $13 / hour.

The Packaging Material handler performs forklift operation in capacity to maintain and move materials as needed within the manufacturing areas as well as to supply materials to and from manufacturing production as needed to ensure efficient operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Properly and safety operate electric pallet jack with or without a load
Perform battery change and charge procedure
Perform pre-operation inspection
Supply packaging lines with all packaging components as needed and
remove unused components to warehouse
Move finished goods from production area to warehouse
2) Assist in the removal of scrap bottles and plastic as needed
Load cap hoppers to maintain proper inventory levels
3) Ensure availability of correct packaging components
Utilize bill of materials to cross reference part numbers to ensure proper components
Verify the quantity of materials for each production run
Communicate and coordinate with supervisors, leads, and warehouse personnel to stage proper components for line changeovers
Maintain good housekeeping.
Operate plastic baler and cardboard baler
Perform housekeeping duties within the department as needed
Perform Good Manufacturing practices to maintain hygienic security
Perform other related duties as determined by management
Attendance is an essential function of the job.
Must be at the workstation at the beginning of the shift.
Must continuously follow all safety policies and procedures on the job.
Maintain an awareness of and use Good Manufacturing Practices.

REQUIREMENTS:
1) High School Diploma or GED preferred
2) Must successfully pass pre-employment assessment
3) Must successfully pass forklift operator driving assessment.
