Event Security – Part Time 
                                                     
This is a part-time, event-based position located within the Event Security Department of the Honda Center.   This position provides security for all events at Honda Center and is responsible for the protection and safeguarding of guests and employees.  Hours for this position fluctuate depending upon arena event schedule.

Examples of Duties/Essential Functions:

•    Provide excellent customer service while monitoring guest flow through screening checkpoints 
•    Conduct guest bag checks for prohibited items in an orderly and efficient manner
•    Monitor and conduct screenings using walk through and hand held metal detectors 
•    Enforce all security policies and procedures of the arena
•    Verify credentials to control access into restricted areas
•    Monitor the crowd during all events to ensure safety for guests
•    Respond quickly to any incidents in arena and report in a timely manner
•    Other duties as assigned

Qualification Standards:  

•    High School or equivalent
•    Minimum 18 years of age
•    Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy
•    Strong verbal communication skills
•    Works well with others; establishing and maintaining effective relationships with fellow workers and supervisors
•    Work well under pressure; ability to think clearly in emergencies, giving accurate instructions and information to others
•    Observant
•    Must present clean, neat professional appearance.  
•    Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time
•    Some position assignments require working in outdoor weather conditions
•    Flexible schedule – candidates must be able to work 75% of all monthly events; ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
