About this job
Indianapolis custom fabrication shop looking to hire Fabrication helper/assistant. This company is truly a custom shop that makes stainless steel furniture and structures. Candidates must have experience working on stainless steel. The Fabrication helper will be assisting machine operators with bending metal/steel, loading sheet metal/stainless steel into brake press and laser equipment. Will also perform clean up duties, empty trash, sweep, remove scrap metal material. Must be able to work with most hand and power tools such as hand grinders, polishers, etc. Experience with routers are a plus. Must have excellent math and ruler experience (candidates will be tested.)
1st shift: 6:30am-3:30pm OT until 5pm likely and Saturdays are flex day (not mandatory) Pay: $12/hr to start plus Benefits. Advancement opportunities available for candidates interested in learning welding and machining trade.
