ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

 

  1. Learn and understand how to manipulate a telephone system in order to correctly accept and deny calls when appropriate.
  2. Intercept calls and through the use of scripted and unscripted dialogue, aid our customers through the process of placing an order. During slow times enter orders received through other channels such as fax, mail, and the Internet.
  3. Keystroke customer orders into the computer by listening to and interpreting the customer’s requests for products. Clarify ambiguous instruction through asking the customer questions.
  4. Assist callers through the call process by answering simple questions, and providing escalation paths for more technical questions when appropriate.
  5. Solve customer problems by working with the Customer Service agents to attain solution, and then inform the customer.
  6. Promote the “brand” and company well. Contribute to the growth of the company through the appropriate use of up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.
  7. Manage personal time and personal work ethic to meet the minimum performance standards of a call center agent as described by their Supervisor and/or the Call Center Manager.
  8. Provide a positive and friendly experience for our customers through the use of tone, language and speech patterns.
  9. Possess the ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, and customers. At times articulating complex concepts, and help bring understanding to the desired group or individual.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  High School education or GED and experience in a marketing environment. 

Preference will be given to those who have earned a bachelors degree LANGUAGE SKILLS  Ability to give direction in both verbal and written form that is easy to understand.  Ability to communicate clearly in English.  MATHEMATICAL SKILLS  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole numbers.  REASONING ABILITY  Ability to understand and solve complicated problems with multiple variables.  Ability to interpret information communicated in the form of policies, or regulations.  OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES  Good understanding of computer programs such as word processing, spreadsheets. Preference will be given to individuals with additional understanding of presentation software, and databases. 

This is a temp to hire position and it will be a day shift working a Saturday once in a while.  This position pays $12 per hour.  Great company, easy going atmosphere.
