JOB FUNCTION

This position is responsible for developing and supporting capabilities for replenishment, inventory and merchandising management applications.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and enhance replenishment, inventory, and merchandising management applications systems.
  • Responsible for the full software development lifecycle for projects, enhancements and fixes including design, development, unit testing, system testing and change management.
Manage user issues and ticketing system related to application problems.
  • Integrate new products and solutions into existing environment for continuous improvement.
  • Develop advanced SQL statements and procedural code on multiple database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Postgres, DB2, and Oracle). Tasks include querying data, manipulating data, generating reports, etc.
  • Work with end users to define business requirements for new projects as well as supporting existing processes.
  • Analyze data and solve new and existing business issues.
  • Work concurrently on multiple projects and tasks across different business units
JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (includes education)
  1. Bachelor’s Degree and three years of development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education.
  2. Leadership skills to navigate project execution through all phases of the standard software development lifecycle.
  3. Experience with one or more front-end technologies such as HTML, DHTML, CSS, JSP, JavaScript and modern Javascript frameworks (jQuery, AngularJS, Bootstrap).
  4. Proficient with one or more programming languages/protocols: Java, JavaScript, C#, ASP.Net, XML/XSL.
  5. Familiar with multithreaded applications, test driven development, advanced profiling and debugging.
  6. Experience with Agile development methodology is a plus.
  7. Demonstrated proficiency with one or more technology environments and the ability to readily learn and apply new and emerging concepts.
  8. Excellent communication, problem solving, and data analysis skills.
  9. Experience with at least one DB platform (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)
  10. Excellent decision making skills.
  11. High level of customer service
