The Employee Services Specialist/Receptionist Specialist is responsible for providing support to the Human Resources Department and Branch by shepherding applicants through the ATS, screening applications, initiating background checks, interacting with applicants/visitors to the branch in a positive fashion, arranging training/on-boarding activities and general administrative support functions. The Employee Services Specialist/Receptionist is expected to build upon a culture of employee engagement and set the example for all employees in the branch of servant leadership and personal commitment to the Whelan Values.

Performance Metrics: The Employee Services Specialist/Receptionist is expected to achieve the following metrics within Whelan’s performance-based business environment:
  • Have 0 employees “in the red” in ATS
  • Ongoing recruiting to ensure branch/region has employee candidates to staff to 110% level of branch and account staffing needs
  • Personally recruit a minimum of one new manager/staff in your branch annually
  • 100% compliance to the Whelan Mandatory Requirements
  • Lead by example of living up to the Whelan Values

Qualifications

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • At least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
  • Demonstrate a stable work history
  • Pass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessment, interviews, and personality profile (behavioral assessment)


Education

Candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
  • Possess at least a high school education or equivalent (GED) – college degree preferred
