Unit Description

Chef opportunity available within Corporate Services in Baltimore, MD. The Chef will oversee our corporate cafe and Executive Dining Room at the M&T Bank Mid-Atlantic Headquarters. This is a hands-on, working chef position. This position will be responsible for menu planning and hands-on food production for both locations at this account. In addition, this role will focus on significant catering activities ranging from sandwiches to high end plated dinners. Due to the high catering volume at this account, the ideal candidate will be flexible to working some evenings. Hours are typically Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Our client has requested a focus on local, seasonal menus. The Chef will have the opportunity to add his/her creative flair to our menus. Other responsibilities include ordering, inventory, ensuring HACCP compliance, and managing food/labor costs. The Chef will have a great deal of interaction with our client in the Executive Dining Room. Excellent customer service and client relations skills are a must!!!

  

Our ideal candidate will be a focused and passionate food service leader with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic and ever-changing environment. The demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team and pro-actively communicate will be required. Strong financial acumen is essential. 

Position Summary

Responsible for food production in a foodservice operation. May be responsible for one area (i.e., hot foods) or could specialize (i.e., catering). Supervises a staff of hourly associates. May be responsible for food inventory and ordering. May conduct culinary training. Manages the kitchen. Reports to GM or Executive Chef.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.Sodexo is an EEO/AA/Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran employer.
