Business analyst with a focus in the Domain of Inventory/Markdowns/PLM and other

  • The Open BA position will be associated with the PLM, Markdown and Inventory Domain.
  • PLM – is associated to the Product Development Business group and includes an application used by that group called Product Lifecycle Management
  • Markdowns – referring to those applications that support the Markdown functionality throughout the organization, this includes but is not limited to the Merchandising areas of the Business.
  • Inventory - referring to those applications that track unit Inventory for the organization, including unit control, this also includes, but is not limited to the Merchandising area of the Business.
  • GMI – currently this Domain also supports the GMI Program, this is a major Company and IT initiative supporting the implementation of Oracle RMS.

  • Analyze complex cross functional business processes and defines integrated business and functional requirements.
  • Create, execute and communicate the project BA plan (estimates, schedule and deliverables).
  • Create/revise/execute the following deliverables using industry standard techniques:
  • Process maps
  • Data flow diagrams
  • Requirement documentation
  • Calculation analysis and data scenarios
  • Acceptance testing
  • Facilitate the design of integrated solutions (process, technical & organizational).
  • Effectively communicate with senior Business users to identify and prioritize needs, articulate business impact and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Drive the definition, testing, training, and implementation of functional requirements.
  • Coordinate activities across cross-functional teams and Senior Stakeholders (Business and IT).
  • Ensure the end to end solution is proven to deliver the required business results.
  • Drive adoption of the designed processes and solution use with stakeholders.
  • Coach BA’s in the delivery of artifacts for assigned projects.
  • Network with the BA community to share best practice and develop BA competency.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 5+ years IT BA experience.
  • Strong understanding and exhibited experience with business analysis best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit and analyze business requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver functional , system configuration and test cases

  • Knowledge of IT Software development lifecycle and understanding of IT project methodology.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member alongside matrix project teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to function successfully in a highly collaborative, fast paced and evolving environment.
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze new and complex ideas.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • CBAP/CCAB certification a plus
  • Experience with small, medium and large projects.
  • Experience with projects involving legacy software.
  • Experience with analyzing calculations and a basic understanding of data structures.
  • Knowledge of IT Software lifecycle process, understanding of IT Project methodology and working in matrix environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology ).
  • Advanced degree and applicable certifications a plus.
