Role Purpose:

Support manufacturing by maintaining and servicing equipment and mechanical elements of component production. Works with various manuals and automated tools. Assures skilled and timely support to manufacturing customers. Works with quality, materials, and other support departments to meet all targeted goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspects machinery and equipment for defects
  • Maintain up-to-date information and hands-on working knowledge of equipment installed and set-up for manufacturing operation. Perform PM schedule.
  • Operate and repair hydraulic presses, robots, assembly machines, boilers, compressors, plant support machinery, water softeners, etc.
  • Assist in identifying problems and or equipment repair needs.
  • Troubleshoot repairs and perform preventative maintenance utilizing hydraulic and other mechanical technology and efficient techniques available to support lean environment.
  • Transport material and components with the use of a hand transport or forklift if needed.
  • Maintain work area to 5S standards for organization, housekeeping and inspection.
  • Must be able to use Electric Meter for Troubleshooting. Welding, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Soldering and Brazing.
  • Handle major repairs and liaison with contractors as required. Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

  • Minimum HS diploma or equivalent
  • 2 year degree and / or certifications in related field
  • 2-5 years manufacturing maintenance experience and provide own tools.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
  • Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, boilers.
  • Experience working with robotics and PLC programming.
  • Proficiency in computer operations using Microsoft Office Software.
  • Solid 480 VAC 3-phase experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
