NOW HIRING A HOUSEKEEPER FOR OUR ASSISTED LIVING COMMUNITY IN FISHERS OFF OF 96TH STREET!
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and pristine environment that promotes a homelike atmosphere. Complies with Company’s policies and procedures. Works with the team that encourages and supports the residents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Executes daily, weekly, and monthly tasks sheets.
• Able to sweep, mop, and polish floors; sanitize areas, vacuum carpets; clean restrooms; wash windows and walls.
• Keeps pace of work in a manner consistent with community policy and procedure.
• Work in cooperation with all other team members of the facility to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for both residents and team members.
• Stocks common areas, replaces light bulbs, tidies throughout the day, and eliminates trip hazards.
• Adhere to communities safety program at all times including handling and storage of chemicals and equipment.
• Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Communicates and interacts with residents, families and team members in a kind, respectful and effective way.
• Champions hospitality and delivers excellent customer service to residents, families, visitors, and vendors
• Know your residents to engage with residents.
• Attends and participates in team meetings.
• Satisfies education needs through online learning tools and other resources.
• Ensures that an attractive home environment exists at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A High School diploma / GED, or as required by state regulations.
• Experience working with older adults in senior living, long-term care, home health or other health care setting. Has demonstrated ability or strong desire to engage with seniors.
• Ability to work in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy for the challenges experienced by residents, families and team members and the problem-solving skill sets to support them.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally using the English language.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
