Among many responsibilities, this position is involved in the following activities on a regular basis:

Oversees the merchandising and inventory management associated with the fresh produce, dairy, and deli category assortment. Including, but not limited to ordering, merchandising, rotating, regular quality inspections and product knowledge acumen to ensure the needed execution of our fresh programs. Assists in the daily operations of Gordon Restaurant Market including: sales, customer service,  and maintaining overall store conditions.

Key qualifications and requirements for this position include:

Education:

High school diploma or general equivalent degree required. Associate's Degree preferred

Minimum Years of Experience:

• At least one year customer service, selling, and stocking experience in a retail environment with an emphasis on fresh products preferred

Knowledge/ Skills / Abilities:

• Knowledge of or ability to develop knowledge of produce and other cooler product categories.

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to perform tasks, prioritize, and work independently or within a team

• Basic mathematical aptitude to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and counting

• Ability to count and make change

• Solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures

• Basic computer skills

• Time management and organizational skills

• Attention to detail

• Ability to follow instructions

• Must be at least 18 years of age
