Automation Personnel Services is seeking a full-time QA Inspector. This positons requires welding experience and a CWI Certificate (Certified Welding Inspector). Pay will range from $16.37 - $19.35, depending on experience. Interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to submit resumes for consideration.

Essential Functions/Responsobilities:
Include the following: (Other duties may be assigned, including but not limited to cross training and housekeeping. Responsibilities also include attention to safety according to all safety rules.)
Observes in-process operations to determine and ensure that correct procedures and materials are being used and followed; ensures compliance with customer specifications for manufacturing, such as pre-heating pipe, hydro testing, roundness; reports issues to operators, production supervisors, QA supervisor or QA manager.
Certifies welders at level of competency for the job they are doing.
Certifies procedures to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Performs regular calibration and preventive maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
Observes welding processes during operation, and spot checks weld machine settings and procedures.
Performs non-destructive testing on welded parts, using visual inspection, magnetic particle inspection, ultrasound, liquid penetrant inspection and leak testing.
Observes and checks hydro-test machine after set up to ensure it is set up properly for hydro testing.
Observes hydro testing to ensure that all procedures are followed.
Assist QA manager/supervisor with supervisory duties during his/her absence for meetings.
Interprets engineering drawings, specifications, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance or mechanical characteristics.
Records test data, applying standard operating procedures.
Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
Performs visual inspection of finished goods to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
May be required to calibrate lab equipment to conform to legal and manufacturing requirements.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
