BASIC PURPOSE: Maintain driver DOT compliance.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining all DOT driver files
  • Run backgrounds on all applicants
  • Prepare all paperwork on new hires and set up in all systems
  • Remove termed employees from the system
  • Monitor CDL and DOT physical expirations
  • Communicate with RM for CDL and DOT renewals
  • Work the random quarterly drug testing
  • Monitor safety meeting paperwork and file appropriately
  • File DVIR and driver logs
  • Run annual MVR’s on every driver
  • Correspond with LexisNexis regarding any issues with backgrounds on drug testing and setup new facilities
  • Unemployment claim processing
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of Cadec
  • Other duties assigned as needed.

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • High school Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience:
    • College Degree preferred

       

      SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Soft Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, team player, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self motivated, good time management skills, and the ability to prioritize
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
