About this job

Maintenance Mechanic for manufacturing facility located in the Santa Ana CA area.

This is a long-term position with possibility of growing to Temporary to Hire. Pay $25-30/hour, depending on experience. This is a 1st shift position - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday with possibility of Overtime during the week and on Saturdays. Must be available and flexible to work overtime, as needed. This company completes drug screen and background check prior to start.

Responsibilities:

Working with minimal supervision this person will be supporting production and facility maintenance needs

Support safety committee action items and general supporting requirements for projects that involve maintenance

Follow Company Safety policy procedures including Lock Out/Tag Out

Requirements:

Min 3 years Maintenance Mechanic experience repairing and maintaining various mechanical machinery within a high-paced manufacturing environment

Experience driving motorized vehicles, including Forklift

Strong electrical, mechanical, computers, and PLC controls with minor construction and plumbing skills

Experience reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and work specifications and requests

Familiar with the current electrical/electronic systems to support future applications in automation

Familiar with and has utilized PM programs tools. Understands requirements for the periodic inspection of machinery

Ability to plan, organize, execute projects and assignments.

Electrical experience is a plus

Ability to establish priorities and expedite department requests in a high-paced manufacturing machine shop environments

Ability to operate a computer terminal and basic office software programs is a plus

Ability to communicate effectively with peers, subordinates, management, employees and outside suppliers in verbal and written forms
