Lowes Foods is has openings for DEPARTMENT MANAGERS for the Cape Carteret/Morehead City, NC area. Department Managers ensure effective and profitable operations of their department through sales maximization and host/employee growth. Department Managers ensure guests receive polite, friendly service; are responsible for scheduling of the department; ensure department is compliant with company standards; ensure proper departmental sanitation and safe food handling practices; train and develop department hosts/employees; and implement and maintain an in-store culture that ensures growth. The Department Manager takes complete ownership of the department works closely with the DSD Receiver and Pricing Coordinator as well as performs all other duties assigned by management. Openings available in Bakery, Deli, Beef Shoppe, Grocery Produce and Guest Services QUALIFICATIONS: Friendly, outgoing personality Ability to work well with others Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. constantly (up to 100 lbs depending on position) Ability to read and understand information and direction Knowledge of department operations Ability to supervise people including training and development Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job Effective communication and customer service skills Must be at least 18 years old Ability to stand for extended periods of time Demonstrate successful use of math skills Ability to work well with computers
