Driver/Courier

Aerotek is looking for 2 part-time Drivers/Couriers to work for a Medical Diagnostics company in Lexington, KY.

Driver Position

• Drives a vehicle to pick up, deliver, and properly store specimens and other materials with assigned route or on an as needed basis.
• Delivers client supplies and reports.
• Provides customer service to clients.
• In addition, may be responsible for complex, multiple and varying routes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe and timely transporting specimens, supplies, equipment and materials to the appropriate destination.
• Responsible for operating a company vehicle safely between laboratory, suppliers and our clients.
• Plans daily route by following the route pickup list while allowing for stops and special pickups.
• Reports to dispatch for route pickup list and receives items needed to route, i.e., radio, keys etc. along with any special pickup instructions.
• Maintains records of each specimen collected each day.
• Delivers client supplies and reports.
• Provides customer service to clients
• Provides appropriate client satisfaction information to Logistics Management and sales.
• Performs the duties of Route Service Rep I and other duties as defined by the supervisor.

Work Environment: Will be working for a medical diagnostics company. Will be driving a specific route on a daily basis to different facilities picking up medical specimens that have been processed and ready for shipment. 80% of the time will be within a car. 20% will be picking up specimens and returning them to Quest headquarters. Will be given a Quest car to drive to and from facilities and ice/dry ice packaging material to keep specimens within environmental temp regulations.

Other Qualifications: Good communication skills, Clean driving record, Valid Driver's License

Work Experience: 1-2 years driving, route, or courier experience is preferred. Consistent work history and dedicated employee. Operation of a RF scan gun for specimen pickups

Hours: One person will work 1:00PM - 9:30PM, Saturdays and Sundays

The other person will work 11:30AM - 8PM, Saturdays and Sundays.

Pay rate: $11/hour
