Organizational Effectiveness & Development:

  • Works with leaders to efficiently and effectively execute all Human Resources processes including HR Planning (Talent Review), Performance Management and Development, & Compensation
  • Assists with organizational capability, organization design, employee relations, and employee engagement
  • Acts as the trusted advisor to managers to assist them in carrying out their plans and meeting goals
  • Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to drive change. Facilitates change management initiatives
  • Presents options on organizational structure, roles & responsibilities and staffing levels
  • Consults with managers to understand training and development needs, to identify trends, patterns and presents recommendations
  • Provides guidance to managers to objectively assess and bring to resolution employee relations issues. Looks for trends and root causes as opportunities to improve organizational/team and employee satisfaction
  • Administers and enforces various HR policies and procedures, trains employees on HR policies, procedures and programs

Staffing:

  • Works closely with hiring manager and talent acquisition partner to establish position requirements, necessary skills & competencies for current & future needs and successful recruitment strategy including sourcing
  • Participates on the interview team
  • Monitors headcount and labor cost with finance support

Compensation:

  • Consults with managers on pay-related decisions including merit increases, incentive recommendations, career-related and other adjustments
  • Work with leadership team member during annual plan to ensure alignment of rewards to performance, and that rewards are used as organizational levers

Performance Management:

  • Assist managers with all aspects of the annual performance management and development process including coaching on effective documentation practices. Ensures legal compliance and provide constructive feedback to evaluator to improve quality of evaluation where necessary.
  • Makes recommendations to managers regarding development opportunities for employees. Conducts exit Interviews to identify trends and make recommendations to reduce turnover and increase engagement.

Skill Requirements:

  • Experience supporting a diverse client group ranging from hourly employees to professional business functions to PhDs.
  • Experience working in mid-sized, complex environments and matrixed organization is desirable.
  • 5+ years' experience with either UltiPro or ADP HRIS or equivalent system.
  • 7+ years' experience as a Sr. HR Generalist/HR Manager or HR Business Partner.
  • BS degree in Human Resources, Management or a related field; SPHR and/or MS degree preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills and business acumen.
  • Strong planning, influencing/coaching, collaboration and communication skills, proven ability to build relationships and partner across functional lines and at all levels.
  • Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws regarding human resources.
