Job Overview:

The Selling Support Services Specialist is responsible for providing support to the Specialist Manager. The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. This individual is responsible for executing incentive payouts for Macy’s specialist population. They must have the ability to work collaboratively with Human Resources and MST, as well as Vendors and Buyers. In addition, they must be able to work independently as well as anticipate departmental needs. They should display strong interpersonal and organizational skills with proven ability to work in a team environment.

Essential Functions:

• Execute monthly, seasonally and quarterly incentive payouts through Compensation
• Manage and research stores incentive inquiries
• Deliver results by maintaining efficient systems and/or processes.
• Assist in responding to vendor inquiries as it relates to existing contracts and Specialist positions
• Communicate program change timeline to stores and vendors
• Work with Specialist Manager to facilitate changes through the My Specialist platform
• Assist in maintaining contractual agreements and incentive documentation
• Assist in creation of contract documentation for all newly negotiated and/or revised contracts
• Monitor specialist ownership by store
• Produce and follow through with ownership reporting analyzing results monthly, seasonally and annually
• Complete ad hoc projects for Manager
• Completes other related duties as required and assigned
• Perform these functions in an efficient manner, as directed by the Supervisor
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and interpret Instructional documents such as reports and contracts
• Ability to generate business correspondence and conduct phone conversations with customers and management with proficiency and professionalism.

Mathematical Skills:

• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Able to use a calculator.

Reasoning Ability:

• Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Must have good time management skills.
• Must be a team player.
• Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Must be pro-active, self-motivated, and work independently to achieve goals when necessary but also take direction.
• Must possess a strong sense of urgency

Physical Demands:

• This position requires walking, standing, hearing and talking. Position requires constant moving and standing. Must be able to stand for at least two consecutive hours. Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. May occasionally be required to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders. May have to reach above eye level. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Other Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft office, specifically word, excel and power point.
• Professional approach and ability to collaborate with Senior Executives.
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Strong leadership profile, good time management, and excellent negotiation skills. Highly structured and organized.
• Strong customer selling and service orientation.

Work Hours:

• Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours, which may include day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
