Responsibilities:


Responsible for the day-to-day management of a project's production and non-production environments, including maintaining stable environment configurations to support project development/testing efforts and ensuring that environment capabilities meet project demands

Provide thought and day-to-day leadership

Design, build, and support the server and network Infrastructure. This environment is composed primarily of Linux and Oracle Product Suite.

Integrate and implement a complete cloud services framework (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) and cloud deployment model (private, public, and hybrid)

Work with engineers and developers to define provisioning, configuration, protocol support, and security for cloud services

Collaborate with technical team to deliver a set of complex and/or integrated demonstrations, and where necessary, more complex proofs-of-concept

Maintain stability of the cloud Infrastructure as new products and services are introduced

Monitor and manage Infrastructure capacity

Provide technology direction so that project services are highly available, efficient, and operable with acceptable performance

Solve business needs with technology by evaluating different technology options and vendor products

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:


Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Infrastructure and technical operations

At least 4 years of experience leading or supporting Infrastructure and operations for large technology implementations

Experience in designing and managing cloud-based IaaS/PaaS/SaaS solutions

Direct working experience capturing enterprise scale cloud and data center consolidation, modernization, and/or virtualization opportunities

Enterprise scale system/software development with particular emphasis on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) using cloud runtime environments preferred

Large scale data center operations and/or design experience with particular focus on performance-based service catalog and cost-reimbursable efforts preferred

Solid understanding and operational experience in high availability, high performance systems

Expert knowledge of cloud Infrastructure, database, network, storage and security, as well as an understanding of the interdependencies between them in an overall service architecture

Experience in virtualization, Linux, and open source technologies

Expert level Linux, including system tuning, kernel manipulation, bind, iptables, etc.

Basic exposure to networking, including routing, switching, and the OSI model

Experience with security, including firewalls, VPNs, and IPsec

Experience with scripting, whether it be PERL, shell, python, etc.

Experience with Load Balancing, virtualization, and web application hosting is a must
Working knowledge of data center operations' best practices and best operating procedures is a plus
Experience with implementation of any Identity and Access Management COTS product, namely Oracle Identity Management, Tivoli, Sun, etc. is a plus
